We Needed.
Sync didn't start as a business idea. It started as frustration — with fragmented apps, weak security, and tools that treat users as products.
The idea for Sync was simple: why do crypto users need five different apps to manage their digital lives?
Telegram for group chats. MetaMask for the wallet. A separate exchange to trade. Another app for DApps. And through all of it — a growing unease that none of these tools were truly built with security as the first priority.
The team behind Sync had lived this problem firsthand. As crypto users, builders, and privacy advocates, they watched the space grow while the communication tools stayed stuck. Telegram is nearly a decade old. WhatsApp is owned by a company whose entire business model is built on data. Signal is excellent — but it doesn't know crypto exists.
Nobody had built a messaging app that understood what it meant to hold real value on your device. Nobody had taken security beyond "end-to-end encryption" to ask: what happens when someone forces you to unlock your phone?
So the team built it themselves.
It took years of research, development, and iteration to get to where Sync is today. The security features weren't marketing additions — they came from genuinely asking: what does a person who takes their digital life seriously actually need? The crypto wallet wasn't bolted on as an afterthought — it was designed from the beginning to be native to the messaging experience. Oracle AI wasn't added because AI was trending — it was added because the team used AI tools every day and wanted them to work inside the secure environment, not outside it.
Sync launched its Public Beta in 2026. It's still early. There's a long road ahead. But the mission is clear: build the tool that serious, privacy-conscious people in the digital economy deserve.
How We Got Here
The Problem Was Personal
The founding team — crypto users themselves — grew frustrated managing five apps, worrying about security gaps, and watching privacy tools fail to keep up with how people actually live their digital lives.
Building the Security Layer First
Before a single chat message was sent in Sync, the security architecture was designed. GhostWire, Duress PIN, Kill Switch, Obsidian Core — each feature was a response to a real threat scenario, not a feature checklist.
Building the Wallet Native
The crypto wallet was built as a core module — not an integration. The goal was to make it feel as natural to send crypto as it does to send a message. No switching apps. No copy-pasting addresses.
Assembling a 20+ Person Team
Engineers, designers, security researchers, product managers, and community builders — each brought together around a shared belief that people deserve better digital tools.
Public Beta — 2026
